Ingredients:

  • Simple Syrup:

    • 1 cup sugar
    • 1 cup water
  • Strawberry Lime:

    • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
    • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice (about 2-3 limes)
    • 1 cup simple syrup
    • 1/4 cup vodka or tequila (optional)
    • 1 lime, thinly sliced for garnish
  • Pineapple Peach Mango:

    • 1 cup fresh pineapple chunks
    • 1 cup fresh peach slices (peeled)
    • 1 cup fresh mango chunks
    • 1 cup simple syrup
    • 1/4 cup rum (optional)
    • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Blueberry Lemon:

    • 1 cup fresh blueberries
    • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice (about 2-3 lemons)
    • 1 cup simple syrup
    • 1/4 cup gin (optional)
    • Lemon zest for garnish

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Simple Syrup:

    • In a small saucepan, combine the sugar and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar is completely dissolved. Remove from heat and let it cool.
  2. Prepare the Mixtures:

    • For each flavor, combine the fruit, citrus juice, and simple syrup in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  3. Using the Cuisinart ICE-21:

    • Ensure the freezer bowl of the Cuisinart ICE-21 has been in the freezer for at least 24 hours.
    • Set up the ICE-21 ice cream maker and turn it on.
    • Pour the blended mixture into the frozen freezer bowl.
    • Let the machine churn for about 10-15 minutes.
    • Add Alcohol: After the mixture has begun to thicken (about 10-15 minutes of churning), slowly pour in the alcohol (if using) and continue to churn for another 5-10 minutes until it reaches a soft-serve consistency.
    • Add garnishes such as lime slices, mint leaves, or lemon zest in the last few minutes of churning.
  4. Freezing the Mixtures:

    • Once the mixture has reached the desired consistency, transfer it to an airtight container.
    • Freeze for at least 2 hours, or until solid.

Serving:

  • Scoop the hard ice into bowls or cones.
  • Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing, boozy treat!

Tips:

  • For a non-alcoholic version, simply omit the alcohol from each recipe.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less simple syrup according to your taste.
  • Adding the alcohol towards the end of the churning process helps ensure a better consistency as it integrates into the mixture without overly diluting it initially.
