Lost in the hedges? Start here.

How do I play?

Touch where you want to go. A tap takes one step toward your finger; hold to keep walking, and you'll slide around corners to the nearest open way. Eat every piece of candy corn to clear the maze.

When do the ghosts move?

Only when you do. Every step you take, each ghost takes one too, so you always have time to think. You'll feel a warning on your wrist when a ghost is one step away.

What do the jack-o'-lanterns do?

Step on one and the ghosts turn blue and slow down for a while. Catch a blue ghost for 200 points and it floats home. Get caught by a normal ghost and you lose a life; for a moment afterward, ghosts pass right through you.

How do I see the whole maze?

On iPhone, tap the map button in the top corner, or pinch. On Apple Watch, turn the Digital Crown to zoom out and back in.

What's hidden in the mazes?

Each maze is carved inside a shape. Clear it and the camera pulls back so you can see what it was. Later mazes hide a golden treat in a far corner, a pair of cellar doors (step into one, climb out of the other; ghosts don't use them), and sometimes a friendly visitor. One maze is a real place: Oakwood Cemetery in Austin, Texas.

Does it need an iPhone?

No. Candy Crawl runs fully on Apple Watch. The iPhone version plays on its own too.

Accessibility

With VoiceOver, use the actions to step north, east, south or west. The maze name, candy left and score are read aloud.
