Lantern is a reading app and a night walk for Apple Watch and iPhone. It does not collect, store on any server, share, or sell any personal information.

What the app uses on your device

  • Your lanterns. Which stories you've finished, your text size and your settings are saved on your device only.
  • Motion. On Apple Watch, the walk counts your arm swings as steps and notices how steady your hand is. This is read on the device while you walk and is not stored or sent anywhere.
  • Shared discoveries. A few small discoveries are shared with other ReLeaf studio apps on the same device, so something found in one can turn up in another. This stays on your device and is never sent anywhere.

What the app does not do

  • No accounts or sign-in
  • No advertising and no third-party SDKs
  • No analytics, tracking or crash-reporting services
  • No location, microphone or camera access

Children. Lantern is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
