Created from the prompt “An Unexpected Sicilian Vacation,” this custom mosaic brings a sense of wonder, warmth, and escape to North Austin. Installed at The Rhett, a multifamily affordable housing community in the Copperfield neighborhood, the artwork reimagines The Rhett not just as a place to live, but as a destination—one filled with story, sensory richness, and unexpected beauty.
At its center, The Rhett glows in gilded glass, framed by a wave-like background in shades of ocean blue. To the left, a budding white lily and spiraled murex shell hint at nature’s quiet luxuries and timeless treasures.
