The man at the wheel turns the airship. The lettuce leans on its trays and straightens. Your hand is still up. You put it down. In the round window the patch hangs where it hung, south and very high, with the clouds all round it. You watch it for as long as it takes the soup to come to you. You drink, and pass the pot to your left.
