PLAY FLOATING INK
Drop ink on water. Draw it into rings with a fingertip, a comb or a fan, then save the print.
This is the real water from the Floating Ink app, running in your browser. Touch the water and a drop of ink spreads into a ring, pushing every ring before it outward, the way real ink floats. Rest your finger and the rings keep coming. Drop clear water between the colors to keep them apart.
Draw it out
Drag a fingertip through the water, rake it with a five-toothed comb, or waft it with a fan. Every tool moves the same water, so the pattern keeps drifting a moment after you lift your hand. On a phone, tip the tray and the ink drifts with it.
Keep a print
When you like what you see, press Save print. Washi comes down on the water, the pattern lifts onto it, and a PNG goes to your downloads. The water is clean again. Nothing you make is sent anywhere; it is made right here, on your device.
On your phone
The iPhone and Apple Watch app has a box of prints, a widget and more. It is free to try on TestFlight: Floating Ink.
