Problem
People often have aluminum cans piling up with no immediate use for them. At the same time, they may want a low-cost way to create more growing space for plants, especially in a vertical arrangement.
Solution
Use a can opener to remove the top of the can cleanly. Puncture the bottom so excess water can escape. Place rolled paper or cardboard inside in a way that creates vertical pockets or channels for roots and moisture. Use the can as a modular planter that can stand alone or be combined with others.
